All the other sheep are dead. Who ya gonna flock to...
So I got my first "I quit my job and took one for MUCH less money in exchange for sanity/less stress" paycheck today and it was nearly as bad as I thought it would be, and this one didn't even have any OT on it (which most of them will). So currently that leads me to believe the quitting the job thing was the way to go. It's funny when I go in there and the regular custies talk to me about hanging out in the bar on my "night off" and I explain to them that all of my nights are now in fact off as I no longer work there. The immediate response is always "fired or quit?" to which I reply quit and they are all very happy for me because everyone knows it's a lifesucking hellhole to run, any customer with eyes can see that. Now I get to sit and talk to no one (literally, it's amazing) all day and get paid for it. I don't even have to talk to my supervisor, if you could even call him that, if I really don't want to. The downside/upside sorta is that I work from 6:00 am to 2:30 so the waking up sucks, but it's nice to still have most of the day ahead of you when you get off work.
In other news in exactly one week I'm taking my PT test which ultimately determines if I make it into the academy and ahh scary. I'm nervous.
